Part time Procurement Officer Our government client Environment Canada is currently seeking a temporary Part Time Procurement Officer. Requirements • Bilingual • Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance • Working knowledge of Windows Professional 2000 and XP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Merlin, Discoverer, and TES • Experience in planning, scheduling and coordinating meetings, seminars, retreats and other events • Knowledge of government assets system Duties • Arranging for the procurement of goods and services. • Assisting in preparation of bid documents, including Supply Arrangements (SA), Request for Standing Offers (RFSO), Request for Proposals (RFP), etc. • Preparing basic bid documents, including Invitation to Tenders (ITT), Request for Quotations (RFQ’s), etc. • Purchasing with Systems, Applications and Product (SAP) procurement program • Negotiating pricing and delivery • Advising senior staff of performance issues • Assisting in negotiation of solutions with contractors to obtain compliance • Assisting in the development of Statements of Work (SOW) • Monitoring inventory levels of assets • Initiating requests to replenish inventories of basic items • Assisting in the distribution of assets • Assisting in the disposal of surplus assets • Manage payment of government MasterCard invoices using Merlin (GAC) • Follow up on status of Purchase Orders and forward for payment While enthusiastic candidates are appreciated, only those being considered will be contacted Candidates already registered with Turtle Island Staffing should contact their consultant directly
