Material Management Officer - Warehouse Our government client the Department of National Defense is looking for 2 temporary Warehouse Material Management Officers. Requirements • English Essential • Secret security clearance • Computer experience using Microsoft Office in order to prepare, produce and process various reports and correspondence • Experience with the practice and procedures of material management related to warehouse inventory data. • Must be flexible, organized and able to work in an environment where requirements and priorities are constantly changing, a high-tempo work place • Be physically fit and able to lift 40 lbs multiple times when required • Must be Fork Lift operator qualified • Must hold a valid drivers license • Selected Candidate will hold or be required to complete the WHMIS training Assets • Knowledge of the Canadian Forces Supply System (MIMS) Duties • Monitor and track the life cycle of assets • Initiate requests to replenish current inventories of basic items • Assist in the distribution of assets • Assist in the storage and warehousing of assets • Assist in the disposal of surplus assets • Report on Ensure procedures for warehouse safety, accounting and operations are followed • Ensure the safe storage of small quantities of Dangerous Goods within SOP standards • Advise Chain of Command of any concerns or shortfalls including equipment status While enthusiastic candidates are appreciated, only those being considered will be contacted Candidates already registered with Turtle Island Staffing should contact their consultant directly
