Server Application Developer Action Personnel is currently recruiting for a Server Application Developer with at least 5 years experience to work on a temporary/contract basis with one of our Federal Government department clients. This is an exciting opportunity for an Application Developer to play a significant role in ensuring the integrity of information and workflow processes are maintained in a federal government department that is responsible for ensuring the protection of Canadians and contributing to peace-keeping missions internationally. The mandate of this project is to build a new Oracle application in a Unix Environment, migrating existing data from an Access database and performing backup procedures. In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must possess: • At least five (5) years experience developing software applications in a Unix environment • Secret security clearance • At least two (2) years experience developing in a Windows server environment • A degree in Computer Science or relevant field • Extensive knowledge of ITIL • Outstanding knowledge of server architecture, System Lifecycle Management, disaster recovery, availability and redundancy • Technical expertise with: Oracle, Remedy, Solaris Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Providing a report that details the development of the new application, including forms and workflow architecture design • Building a new Oracle application system • Providing detailed analysis of all known errors • Providing recommendations to ensure identical or similar errors do not occur going forward If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please present your resume in Word format with the subject heading "Server Application Developer" in your email.
