Driver DZ DZ Driver Residential / commercial DZ Driver and outside help required for our fence division to for delivery of customer order, cement truck, digger truck and to prepare job orders. Person will be required to operate Delivery Trucks, forklift and other machinery.. POSITION TITLE: Driver DZ / Yardman SUPERVISOR: Yard Foreman & Management POSITION SUMMARY: Receives instructions from the Yard Foreman and Management. Primary responsible for the delivery of materials to our customers, operate our cement truck and diggertruck. In addition as required accurately loading trailers for delivery and unloading inventory from incoming trailers and rail cars. You will be responsible for processing the associated paperwork as directed to insure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • DZ Drivers License • Good knowledge of the city and surrounding area • Clean Driving Record • Unloads product at the customers location • Able to work extended and various hours • Demonstrate a Clean Driving Record in the past 36 months • Demonstrate a valid DZ drivers license • Reads hand written or system generated sales order to determine product. • Notes all special instructions for filling an order. • Accurately pulls delivery orders and stages for loading as directed. • Accurately pulls delivery orders and packages as directed. • Loads product on trailers for delivery. • Unloads product from incoming rail cars or trailers checking manifest. • Notes all discrepancies and reviews them with Supervisor. • Safely, accurately and courteously loads product on customer’s truck/trailer. • Notifies Supervisor of any request to load a potentially unsafe vehicle. • Notifies Supervisor of any request to overload a vehicle. • Operates Truck, forklift and machinery safely at all times following all safety rules and regulations. • Performs daily inspections of Trucks and forklift(s) as required • Notifies Supervisory of any necessary equipment maintenance/repair. • Assists in inventory and/or cycle counts as directed. • May operate saw equipment for milling lumber intermittently • Assist in keeping all lanes and areas clean and clear for traffic. • Perform other work related duties as assigned by your supervisor and be flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur during the course of employment. Education, Experience and Skills Required: • 1 to 2 Years driving experience • 1 to 4 years previous experience with forklifts and other machinery. • Has Forklift Certification. • Good knowledge of lumber products. • Basic math skills. • Good communication skills with positive attitude. • Able to lift, shift, push weight up to 75 pounds. • Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
