| Part-time Customer Service Agent Serco DES, an international task management contractor to government and industry, is now hiring for the role of Customer Service Agent at our DriveTest Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. This is a part-time position in which you will be required to work variable hours. Our Customer Service Agents are responsible for providing information and assisting members of the public at various stages of the licensing process. Some of the work includes responding to customer inquiries on the telephone and in person, providing information about license rules and regulations, verifying driver records, taking candidate photos, scheduling road test appointments, collecting applicable fees, and preparing reports. Customer Service Agents must have excellent time management skills, be well organized, and exercise superior judgment skills. We require individuals who can work independently, meet deadlines, and strive to achieve customer satisfaction in all aspects of their work. This is an excellent opening for an individual who enjoys working with the public, pays close attention to detail, and is interested in a flexible work schedule. We offer considerable opportunities for overtime and some of our employees are able to adjust their schedules according to the time of year (e.g. more hours in the summer months). This can be an advantage for employees who have other jobs of a seasonal nature (summer camp operators, snow plow drivers, golf professionals, ski instructors, etc.). DriveTest is the new brand for Ontario's Driver Examination Centres, formerly managed by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO). DriveTest Centres are operated by Serco DES Inc. under a 10 year license agreement with MTO. DriveTest offers driver examination services at 56 DriveTest Driver Examination Centres and 38 "Travel Points" throughout Ontario. Our DriveTest Centre teams help maintain Ontario's road safety record with great customer service.
